Sandy Shore

The theme for Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week is “all one color.” I took this photo of the sandy beach at the wonderful Elkins Resort on the shore of Priest Lake in Idaho in 2004.

This photo was taken with my very first digital camera, the three megapixel Canon PowerShot A70, which was a pocket point and shoot. The resolution and IQ wasn’t great compared to today’s cameras, but I was pleasantly surprised by the pictures I got with it, until it died on the first day of a five day vacation in Canada two years later. Argh!

The hard lesson learned on that trip is why I didn’t sell my high-end Panasonic bridge camera to help defray the cost when I bought a new Fuji ILC in February. I’m never taking a trip without a backup again!
